I know that many of you know Robin Brenner, the YA Librarian at Brookline Public Library, from the great anime and manga workshops she’s done for us in the past. Robin was asked recently to be a judge for the Eisner Awards, also known as the “Oscars of Comics” — how cool is that?!

According to the Eisner Awards website, “The finalists on the ballot are selected by a blue-ribbon committee that considers thousands of entries submitted by publishers and creators. The nominees are then voted on by all parts of the comic book industry: writers, artists, and other creators; publishers; editors; and retailers and distributors.”  Robin and the other members of the judging panel will be selecting the finalists, which will be up for voting. WOW! Congratulations to Robin, way to go!!
